What We Do

We are one of the most diverse electrical apparatus repair facilities in the Southeast United States offering AC/DC motor repair, transformer repair, pump repair, gearbox repair and wholesale priced new electric motors.

About Us

American MTS began as American Rewinding in Monroe, NC in 1972 primarily servicing the textile industry. Over the years market conditions have changed requiring the company to change and diversify. In 2005 American Rewinding purchased the assets of Motor and Transformer Services and merged the operations to form American MTS. In 2007, long time employees Louis Stegall and Danny Plyler became partners in the business.
