MOTOR REPAIR

Click here to view our Motor Repair Capabilities Sheet

Our motor repair department has many years of experience in AC, DC, synchronous, crane motors, brake motors, etc. in sizes up to 1000 HP and 4600 Volts. Our equipment includes high voltage test equipment, computerized vibration analysis, sand blasting, induction bearing heaters and more but our real asset is our people. With more than 200 tears of combined experience there are few motor types which we haven't repaired.

PROCEDURES

All repairs begin with thorough documentation, testing, and inspection. Rewinding starts with the original windings being removed by our automatic controlled stripping method. This stripping method maintains the integrity of core iron and mechanical characteristics.

The coils are wound on our automatic winding machines for uniformity and accuracy utilizing Class H wire, phase insulation, and other insulating materials. Windings are tied down at both ends and electrically tested prior to varnish dip. Random wound stators and armatures are processed utilizing conventional dip and bake methods. Form wound coils are  completed in a Vacuum Pressure Impregnation system.

Recognizing no two repairs are alike, we also have the flexibility to meet a wide variety of customer repair requirements. We carry a full stock of replacement parts, materials, and a complete wire inventory to handle special repairs. Our many capabilities include complete machine shop services, dynamic balancing, vibration analysis, transformer winding, documentation, assembly, and testing.
